Dear MDGFOA Members,

It is a true honor to welcome you to the Fall Quarterly Conference as the new President of the Maryland Government Finance Officers Association (MDGFOA).

As we gather for another year of learning, networking, and professional development, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued commitment to public finance excellence in Maryland. The strength of our association lies in the experience, passion, and collaboration of our members and I’m excited for what we can accomplish together this year.

The fall conference marks the start of our program year, and I’m proud to share some important updates about what’s ahead:

Looking Forward to 2026
We’re already preparing for two cornerstone events that I encourage you to mark on your calendars:

• Winter Conference – January 23, 2026: This will be a key opportunity to hear legislative updates, policy impacts, and practical insights as we enter the heart of the fiscal year.
• Summer Conference – June 10 – 12, 2026 in Ocean City: Always a member favorite, this event will bring us together at the beach for in-depth sessions and valuable peer connections in a relaxed setting.

Spring Conference Update
As many of us know, spring can be the busiest time of year, with budget season in full swing and the Maryland General Assembly in session. To better support our members during this demanding time, we have decided to eliminate the traditional in-person Spring Conference. Instead, we are working to offer virtual programming that will be flexible, accessible, and still packed with the timely content you’ve come to expect.

I’m excited to serve as your President and to continue advancing the mission of MDGFOA. I hope you’ll take full advantage of today’s conference and connect with your peers, ask questions, and engage in the sessions ahead.
