President's Message, 2025 Winter Newsletter
Dear Members & Friends of the Maryland GFOA,
Our Winter Conference is just around the corner on January 24. We have a great lineup of speakers and I encourage everyone to register. The day is packed with GASB updates, Federal legislative updates, and State legislative updates as well as information on IRA Tax Credits and the market outlook for the year. At the conference, we are changing the agenda a little by having lunch at noon with the networking event afterward at 1 pm outside of the conference room. We hope this will provide our members with more time to visit with our sponsors and exhibitors.
For future planning, the rest of the 2025 conference dates are:

For anyone who is thinking about starting GFOA’s Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) program, MDGFOA is offering two scholarships that cover the $1,200 fee for two years of participation in the program. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2025. Click here to apply.
